An update. I was sure I had posted on AC2 C.U. Richard before, but was unable to find it on Wartimes. Maybe the change in service provider got in the way, or perhaps I'm just getting old. But I did spend a lot of time searching, and was pretty sure given it came up in the subject field ...

Well, now I’m starting to think the story is true. The more I research the more information comes to light that Greenberg actually used Hiram Wolf’s name to Join the RCAF

My final comment, if Wolf was Greenberg………..why do ‘both’ men show up in newspaper articles……doesn’t seem like he was ‘hidding’ very well, location of death are different, place of internment are different, DOB are different etc……..I think we have two different men…….but not positive

My gut says ...

From the above, I see anomalies, Greenbergs draft records are signed AFTER he joined the RCAF (if he did join)

And other items that don’t match.

If I could find the plane that possibly Greenbergs was in that may help


And of course, I can’t find ANY RCAF records for Greenberg.

The article below indicated the RCAF sent a telegram under the name of Julius V Greenberg…….how would they know to do that if he enlisted as Hiram Wolf?????

Looks to me that he was attached for all purposes to HQ 2 Cdn Corps Ordnance Field Park Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps 28 Mar 44. I see no sign of if/when this attachment was ever ended. I would take that as he was under their control rather than 30 Fd Coy for his time on the continent. A quick ...
