Hi Temujin,
Can you post a nominal roll from June or May of 45?
I’m sorry, I don’t have nominal rolls for those months

Be advised that some of the material in the obituaries posted here is exaggerated or erroneous, but the true story is still ...

Re: RCAF Officer service numbers

More detail on Canadian Service Numbers in the RCAF The subject of RCAF personnel service numbers seems to weigh on many minds, and so I propose to submit what might be entitled "Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About RCAF Service Numbers and Were Afraid to Ask." Credit, however, belongs to C.S. N...

Can anyone tell me what the difference (if any) is between a number starting with O and one starting with J? I have come across a Thomas Edward DICKENS who flew as an Air Gunner with 78 Squadron initially as R85360 and then once commissioned (Feb/March 1945) he is shown as being both O93518 and J93...

Re: Engineer Equipment

D-7 Armoured Bulldozer. If you look closely to the left side on the front of the engine compartment, you can see the “landing serial” of this Dozer written in chalk. With this information you can determine the ‘landing craft” and possibly the unit that this Dozer belonged to http://wartimes.ca/wp-c...

Re: Fate of two soldiers of 1 CPB

Wow - again, I am amazed. I should think this is the Meyer who was mentioned in "Out of the Clouds" and - the author probaly got the intials wrong. We all know how easy it is to make such mistakes. It would be a great coincindence if there was another Meyer in 1 CPB who was also wounded in action i...
