Re: RCAF, LAC Issie Pedveen ???
I never thought I'd see "orchidectomy" on an RCAF service file.

Same to you and yours, George.
I wondered the same thing. On most bases when an aircraft was guarded it was RAF Service Police who did the guarding, not a solitary LAC.
Anyway, a horrible way to go. I didn't post the description of his injuries, but you can imagine.

Re: RCAF 424 Sq., Wellington HE367
You'll find a lot like this, George. Chorley's Bomber Command Losses (all volumes) have aircraft like this. A/c written off but crew not injured so not listed. Hopefully, Temujin will prove me wrong but if Rich Allenby doesn't have it...and he doesn't http://www.yorkshire-aircraft.co.uk/aircraft/yor...

Re: RCAF 415 Squadron Albacore's
Unfortunately, there's no Court of Inquiry documents in Hughes' service file. There was a time when you could get the loss card from the RAF Museum in a matter of two weeks or so, free of charge, but I see they are not even taking any enquiries these days: https://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/research/resea...

Re: RCAF 415 Squadron Albacore's
Looks like someone dropped the ball writing up the ORB for the 9th. Nothing really new. I have ORB pages that have the same aircraft and crew bombing the same target at the same time. Written above the exact same entry. Whomever failed here also failed to mention the 2nd Albacore, X9281, flown by F/...
