Roy Dickau 8th Field Ambulance- Museum Exhibit

Post by KikiFace » Tue Nov 12, 2024 4:36 pm

Presented my exhibit about my grandfather at my local museum on Remembrance Day. The response was fantastic, everyone loved being able to see more information about a local veteran. They felt like the history really came to life by providing more information about what he saw and the kind of things he did. Had lots of people ask how to get their family members military history even. Overall I would say it was a complete success. Even had our local Member of Parliament visit and told me how great I did.
I have already decided on my great uncle for next year who was in WW2 with the Merchant Marines. Of course I am going to have to have a lil break in between, all this research has been exhausting.
