Confused, need help, Forest Bee Young

Greetings Everyone,

Need some help, I have some confusing issue, hope someone can help clear this one out

1) F/O Forrest Bee Young, J/39819, RCAF 433 Squadron, H.P. Halifax - LW120, Aircraft shot down, crashed on 04/07/1944, survived, captured, P.O.W.

And then

2) Flt Lt Forrest Bee Young, J/39819, RCAF 442 Squadron, Supermarine Spitfire - RR194, Aircraft shot down, crashed on 04/11/1944, survived, captured, P.O.W.

From all the info that I have found, most probable is No. 2, as he has a history with RCAF No. 133 Squadron (Hurricane), RCAF No. 111Squadron (Kittyhawk), RCAF 14 Squadron, Kittyhawk, RCAF No. 442 Squadron (Spitfire)

But, to try and keep my research on the right track, thought I would ask !

George I’ll check out both…….but I found a FO F.B. Young, 442 Squadron, shot down on 4/11/1944 BUT aircraft number was NH 588

George, their was no “Young” aboard LW 120 which was shot down on the 5/6 July 1944

That's what I figured, someone must have had a bit when punching keys. Just so you know that I was not pulling a leg, this is what they said about Forrest B. Young as far as the Halifax

Acft took off 2214 4 July 1944 from Skipton-on-Swale to bomb the railway yards. Shot down in flames by a night-fighter whose cannon-fire also seriously wounded Sgt Gracie in both legs.

Some background, from the chronology.

July 1944
4-5 Immediately following the TALLBOY attack on the V-1 storage caves at St. Leu D'Esserent it was bombed by a further 231 Lancasters and 15 Mosquitos which destroyed the access to the site. Within 2 days the number of V-1 launches is reduced due to the destruction of these attacks

Another 282 Lancasters and 5 Mosquitos attacked 2 rail yards, while 36 Mosquitos bombed the synthetic oil plant at Scholven-Buer, 11 GARDENING, 16 Special Operations, 25 RCM, 30 OTU and 61 SERRATE/INTRUDER/V-1 patrols, a total of 712 sorties with the loss of 28 (BC War Diaries). This was the first operational use of JOSTLE RCM jamming, flown at high altitude by Fortress aircraft of 214 Squadron (Ken MacLean www.rafcommands.com).

4-5 433 Sqn. Halifax III LW120 BM-E shot down by a night fighter over France, pilot F/L B. Yunker RCAF and his rear gunner P/O W. Gracie RCAF killed, F/O P. Scullion RCAF, F/O S.G. Hetherington RCAF, F/S L.T. Grenon RCAF, F/O F.B. Young RCAF and Sgt G.N. Watmough RAF PoW, F/O M. Wiome evaded (www.rafcommands.com PoW list; O. Clutton-Brock).
