Greetings All,
Looking to see if there is further info out there on Flt Lt Wilbur Pittman Roberts, C/5573, from Stoneburg, Texas.
I currently show him being an instructor in RCAF No. 1 B&GS at RCAF Station Jarvis, then July 1942 was assigned to RCAF No. 127 (F) Squadron at RCAF Station Gander Airfield. I am guessing he was released sometime after that. In 1950 he joined the U.S.A.F. as a T/Sgt ??? and served until 1967, he passed away on November 6, 1967, and is buried at Hopewell Cemetery, Stoneberg, Texas
Any additional info would be appreciated !
Cheers
George

It looks like he FIRST went to 126 Squadron (more research to do on that)………..then he became the Commanding Officer of 127 Squadron on it formation (I have some documents downloaded already, but want to do more researching) on that
I could NOT find him with 1 Bombing and Gunnery School in Jarvis, but need to research that more…….
So more to come, I’ll send it directly to you by e-mail
Lastly, I did NOT get your e-mail on Blakeney??
Cheers

Temujin,
Trying to locate where I got the info on him being with No. 1 B&GS, but does not the "C" in C/5573 indicate that he was an Instructor ?
