All this could be clues.
I”m looking thru the War Diaries of the HQ’s 2nd Cdn Corps, and I just picked a “random date” (1st Nov 1944) and so far all I found was a “MAJOR CARSLEY”
I”ll keep looking for you, but could you confirm the info above, and may help in my search
Cheers

Here’s their Officers for 1 Jan 1945, still the only person “close” is Major CARSLEY
Re: MAGORS Carson - HQ 2nd Canadian Corps
Now I tried the 2nd Cdn Corps, Asst Adjutant & Quartermaster General Was Diaries
His diaries list “every” Officer employed in the Corps HQs (the first files I sent you list only Officers at Corps Main HQ)
Again, 3 name that start with ‘C’……but not sure if this is anything closer………date is 7 Oct 1944

Re: MAGORS Carson - HQ 2nd Canadian Corps
Thank you. Yes, very hard to read…….but I do believe it was MAJOR CARSON, which is on the documents that I found above.
Do you know WHERE this was found, it you do, I could look in the War Diaries to see if I can find out if the HQ 2nd Corps was in or near that location??? If I know WHERE it was found, I might be able to “date” the location (assuming that I can determine they were in that location) and then possible look for the “correct” Officer’s lists for that DATE…….
Re: MAGORS Carson - HQ 2nd Canadian Corps
Hello,
The helmet has been found in a farm near to Montreuil sur mer.
There was another named helmet from a pte of 6 FDS RCAMC (2nd Corps).

Re: MAGORS Carson - HQ 2nd Canadian Corps
This helped a LOT Seb.
I found the location of 2nd Corps HQ MAIN, it was located very near Montreuil sur mer (see map below), it located their on the 5th Sept 1944
AND
I located the 6 Cdn Field Dressing Station, and it was ALSO located very near Montreuil sur mer
So below is a map show location, and I’ve also included the document showing the location from the 2nd Cdn Corps war diaries
