Hi all,

I have again found references to the widowed wives of airmen, without being able to find their given names. Indeed in searching I have discovered I had more than I thought (five instead of two, plus another question), so I have split up the request.

This is not a rush task, but I would like to fill in the blanks. These women were every bit casualties of the war as their husbands were, in my view, and should not be overlooked.

I am looking for the names of the spouses of:

Sgt Edmund Joseph Conry R56147 lost 10 Sqn. RAF June 19, 1941.

P/O James Murray Grant J3595 lost 44 Sqn. July 24, 1941.

I am often shocked how young these airmen were, and Sgt Conry looked very young.

Of note my mother grew up in Woodstock, and may have attended school with P/O Grant and Harriet Hayden. I wish I could have asked her. She did mention one classmate who is in TSGNO, who dive-bombed the high school when training as a pilot.
