Post by georgetanksherman » Mon Oct 15, 2018 8:53 pm

Doing research on RCAF Squadron and have 2 individuals that are from RCAF 408 Squadron, so far, that have died or been killed, but can not find out the cause, any help would truly be appreciated

1) 27 July 1942
W-OP/Gnr: W/O 2 Class Lloyd Franklin Kelly, R/73181, RCAF, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada

2) 2 September 1942

Thank You very much Ludford 101 for the info, I have also come across two others from the RCAF 408 Squadron, believed being part of an aircrew, maybe succumbed to wounds received in action, but I can not verify this assumption,

6 April 1944
BURKE, John Joseph, Pilot Offr (Air Gnr), J/86252, RCAF, buried UK – Harrogate (Stonefall) Cem

5 July 1944
STEVENS, William Richard, Pilot Offr (Air Gnr), J/90301, RCAF, buried UK – Brookwood Mil Cem

That is Awesome Response, "Thank You" to the both of you for the info, while researching the RCAF 408 Squadron, it seems that they went from the Handley Page Hampden, to the Handley Page Halifax, then onto the Avro Lancaster, and then back to the Handley Page Halifax, I am sure the second time around the Handley Page Halifax's had been improved from the previous version. Thank You both again !!!!!
