Canadian Kaki Drill

Post by deltacvt » Fri Apr 18, 2025 6:22 am

Hi,

For my second post, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this uniform. It's a 1940 Kaki Drill jacket with an “Aurora R.C.O.C” stamp in the collar. The pants are a 1940 Kaki Drill. As the color is not homogeneous, I plan to replace it with a green model. However, I can find very little information about these uniforms. I'd like to know whether this type of uniform was worn only in Canada, or also in theaters of operation such as France and Holland. Also, did the R.C.O.C. (Royal Canadian Ordnance Corp) wear such equipment? If so, I'd love to see some period photos. If not, which unit could still wear these outfits after 1943-1944 ?

Thank you in advance for your answers,

Ils ne vieilliront pas, comme nous, qui leur avons survécu.
Ils ne connaîtront jamais l’outrage ni le poids des années.
Quand viendra l’heure du crépuscule et celle de l’aurore,
Nous nous souviendrons d’eux.
