Need help, Spitfires, RCAF, 421 Sqdn

While doing research on RCAF 421 Squadron, I came across a few items of confusion

#1) Spitfire MH714, some pages say that Flt Lt R.W. Henry, 421 Squadron was shot down had to bail out and became a P.O.W., another says it was with 317 squadron, had an accident running into a hut, sent for repairs and was then sent to RCAF 403 Squadron

#2) Spitfire MK421, some pages say that W/O D.N. Guest, 421 Squadron was flying a recce mission when it was shot down and he became a P.O.W. and another site says it was with RAAF Squadron 453 when it was shot down killing the pilot Flt Sgt R.A. Dutneall

#3) Does anyone know what the serial number of the Spitfire was that Flt Sgt D.C. Goude was flying on February 17, 1943, he was flying a Rhubarb Mission when the aircraft was damaged

Would appreciate if someone can head me in the right direction on these !

Cheers

I am showing for Flt Lt R.W. Henry, it was on May 19, 1944

And for W/O D.N. Guest it was on August 6, 1942

This one took me a while to figure out.....found D.N. Guest and 421 Squadron, RCAF records.......and then had to find 453 Squadron, RAAF and found this on the British National Archives. And examined all the different records on line.....

And this is what I discovered......and the records on line that show both Squadrons flying the same aircraft are INCORRECT

The correct record is that WO D.N. Guest, of 421 Squadron was flying MK421 and was lost with that squadron. Here are the records:
CDEF0A81-5375-41EF-A318-E181BFF01583.jpeg

B1848012-9D0A-4F22-80B0-D55E9BF430F5.jpeg (133.73 KiB) Viewed 16337 times
So MK421 crashed while with 421 Squadron, RCAF

So, Now about 453 Squadron, RAAF and Flt Sgt R.A. Dutneall. The records show clearly that he was flying MK299 when he crashed. Records are below......the issue with these records, is that they just listed the aircraft by its Letter Code......which in this case he was flying Spitfire “A” of that Squadron. Luckily they posted at the END of each months records, the aircraft number for each Letter Code.......so Spitfire “A” was MK299

And MK299 went down with 453 Squadron, RAAF

I’ve also added Flt Sgt Dutneall’s partial records

This one is harder.

This is what the “Spitfire Production List” indicates

Then I went to 421 Squadron records indicate that Flt Lt R.W. Henry was NOT shot down on the 19 May 1944

Then I went to 403 Squadrons records

In the month indicated on the first record (Spitfire production List) and in the 3 months previous, the aircraft if NOT listed on strength

So I don’t know what happened to this aircraft

Temujin, the paper work that you had put on for RCAF 421 squadron was from April 19, 1944, (19-4-44) records that I have said he bailed out May 19, 1944. (19-5-44) if available. Appreciate you shedding light on the other two Warriors.

Cheers

George
