Canadian Cameramen of the LCi Leaving Soton on D-Day

Post by Kip » Wed Apr 14, 2021 6:23 am

Administrators, Thank you for such a wonderful informative and detailed site!

I have a YouTUBE Channel that features colour film made by Canadian cameramen of the LCi leaving Soton on D-Day and minesweepers operating in the English Channel;

If you search through the Channel you will find various versions of the film which was 'lost' on a French website.

Just to say as you well know Southampton was the 'springboard' for D-Day and I have campaigned to get this recognised to no avail.

My latest petition to have the docks recognised as a UNESCO world heritage site included the phrase if it was not for Southampton there would be no UNESCO and because of the lack of information many thought I was joking.

Once again many thanks for your fine efforts.

Kip
