Hi Readers,
AC1 Thomas Begley McLean died April 25, 1940 of injuries sustained when the vehicle he was a passenger in was hit by a train at a level crossing in a snowstorm near Sydney, Nova Scotia, two other RCAF were killed and the driver badly injured.
Newspaper clippings at the Canadian Virtual War Memorial refer to his wife, resident in Ottawa, but they fail to mention her name. Nor is she mentioned on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission page for this Airman.
Does anyone know who she might be?

Other details can be found on page for Cpl C.A. Hale, also killed in this incident.
