Many thanks for posting I didn't have the press cuttings for Mulligan. He was lost after they were forced to ditch in the North Sea on return from MAGDEBURG on 21/22 January 1944.They had bombed the target but were attacked by multiple enemy fighters on the return journey and No2 and No4 fuel tanks were holed. There were only two survivors, the Bomb Aimer and the Mid Upper Gunner, who were picked up by a patrolling destroyer.
Regards
Daz

Hi
I’m not sure if my grandad flew with Stuart Nicol out of Breighton aerodrome on Halifax bombers. Harold Hunter flight engineer.
Does anyone have the other names of this crew?

James,
Your grandfather flew 22 operations whilst at 78 Squadron, including the Squadron's final operation of the war, against Wangerooge; and I can provide you with details of these if you send me a PM with your email address I'll send you what I have.
Can you confirm your father's service number please as I have a few Hunter's.
Thanks
Daz
