Info you requested
Please note, I looked thru his records and their is NO indication he was from Los Angeles. His records have his birth certificate as Victoria, B.C. Canada. His address on enlistment was Victoria, B.C. Also his records show the both his father and mother were living in Victoria, B.C. at the time of his death.
EDIT: I looked thru all his records, and all correspondence, forms, will etc show that his Parents lived in Victoria, B.C. and that he was born and lived in Canada
2nd EDIT: Searched Father and Mother, and I find they DID live in the US, in fact it shows them in the US (with John Edward Mylrea) on the 1930 census, and it show’s his father died in LA in 1957 AND his father war Naturalzied in the US in 1927......so this one is a mystery to me. Their is NOTHING in John Edward Mylrea RCAF files indicating he lived in the US....BUT, I know he did, from a census document and arrival documents. Also all RCAF records show his parents in Victoria, B.C. when he joined the RCAF and when he died. So the only thing I can conclude is that he was Canadian born. BUT I don’t know if he ever applied or recieved US citizenship.
Good luck

I got my info via CWGC, (Son of Daniel Reginald and Violet P. Mylrea, of Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.) did my follow up on the CVWM site which also stated (Son of Daniel Reginald and Violet P. Mylrea, of Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.) so I pressed on with trying to research his history, at the end of the day, American, British, Canadian or any other Allied Country, I would like them "ALL" to be Remembered. Thanks Temujin, as always for the help and clarification !
