My first post.
LAC Harry Louis AXLER RCAF R97458, died on service September 10, 1941 in hospital in Calgary from complications of surgery for appendictis. He was serving with #2 Wireless School, Calgary.
Newspaper reports imply he was training in wireless, possibly as a Wireless Operator Air Gunner.
Can anyone confirm his trade?
Many Thanks,
Paul

You are correct, he first was in training as a Pilot (records below) but then was “reassigned” to WAG (Wireless Air Gunner) and was in his “wireless” school as part of that training.Paul Squires wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 2:27 amMy first post.

Hi again Temujin,
Forgot to add it was the references to ITS that made me think it was likely.
