Same blog has unit serials for all units mobilized with 1st and 2nd Divs, but no sign of 482B

Your right Kevin, I’ve been looking for it myself by checking Nominal Rolls of units boarding ships to England…..but so far no luck

Found him on the Nominal Roll for 20th Field Company, RCE - 31 Dec 1942. MOB Serial No 818

He is on the Nominal Roll on Embarkation to England 9 July 1943

I’ve gone thru the entire War Diairies of the 20th Cdn Field Company, RCE and L/Cpl Elko was with that unit for the entire war, Below is the May Nominal Roll that shows him still in the unit……I will check further in the nominal rolls to see if I can tell when he returned to Canada

L/Cpl Elko name IS NOT on the June 1945 Nominal Roll……I’ve read thru the diaries at it does NOT tell me where he went. It does give lists of men from the unit returning to Canada but he is NOT on those lists. I check the July and the Aug 1945 Nominal Rolls and he is not on them.

So, unfortunately I can’t tell you where he went after May of 1945???
