Hi All,
In the Canadian Virtual War Memorial and in Find a Grave is an article on this airman, lost October 31 - November 1, 1941, that noted he left behind a wife and two children residing in Edmonton, but no further details.
As I am trying to include background of the wives of RCAF lost in the update to They Shall Grow Not Old, does anyone have this ladies name on file?
I also suspect his given age in TSGNO (21) may be in error. No age or mention of his family is on the CWGC site.
Of note Sgt Hall was a newspaper reporter in Alberta and Ontario, and was the son of a former vice-president of the CPR, Grant Hall.
Loss details:
31-1 77 Sqn. Whitley V Z6953 lost without trace, P/O R.J.A. Cleverdon RCAF, Sgt W.T. Hall RCAF, Sgt A.F.C. Couch RAF, P/O F. Simpson RAF and Sgt W. Lowe RAF missing.
All the Best,
Paul Squires

Temujin, you are AMAZING!
I don't know how you do it so fast (and I envy your access to info), but this is Great!
Many Thanks, and be assured I only post a request when I am fully stumped, and run out of avenues to explore.
All the Very Best today, and again Thank-You!

Hi Temujin,
Information added.
I use colour to identify changes and updates, but this is what the entry for Sgt Hall looks like now, using < > to indicate errors, underlines to show added or changed text, Italics to indicate further information, and sources identifed by [] brackets. Looks better in colour.
HALL, WILLIAM TEMPLE SGT(AG) R54012. From Edmonton, Alberta. Killed in Action Oct. 31/41 age <21> 30 [Temujin at wartimes.ca]. #77 Squadron (Esse Potius Quam Videri), Leeming. Whitley aircraft #Z6953 was carrying 1 x 1,000 lb., 1 x 500 lb. general purpose bombs, and 120 4 lb. incendiary bombs when it went missing during night operations over enemy territory. P/O R.J.A. Cleverdon (RCAF), Sgt.s A.F.C. Couch (RAF), W. Lowe (RAF), and F/O F. Simpson (RAF) were also <killed> missing [TSGNO Addendum #1, detail from "Some of the Many" by Roy Walker, Kent, England]. Sergeant Air Gunner Hall has no known grave, his name is inscribed on the Runnymede Memorial, Englefield Green, Egham, Surrey, England. Husband of Elsie Elizabeth Hall, of Edmonton, Alberta [Temujin at wartimes.ca]. Sgt Hall had worked at several newspapers as a reporter, and was the son of a Vice President of Canadian Pacific Railways [www.veterans.gc.ca].
Once I complete 1942 I will take a break to update and post the next edition of the Chronology, and the Errata to that date will be available on request.
All the Best,
Paul

Thank you Paul. I would rather you just quote (Wartimes.ca) if you don’t mind. All our membership helps in these search’s so I’d rather you cite the website
Thank you
